Once you get the timing figured out, you really need to pull a plug for inspection. As htwheelz mentioned, that stock carb is set up for manifolds and a stock cam. I'm betting it will run lean with your setup, and if it's running too lean you could burn a valve.
The cam is only a Performer Plus,, just a little over stock,, I will however get a new intake and carb as soon as my priorities are met.. and christmas is over..
Thanks Kalli,, Its idling just right now,, but the oil leak is driving me nuts,, Im going to have to park it until I get that solved.. Its the darn pan gasket at the curve, where it meets the timing chain cover.. First time it was the timing chain cover seal and now its the gasket at the bottom,, I never win..
