Default Rally Pac internals

Does anyone know anything about the internal electronics of the tach in Rally Pac? The small transformer in mine is bad, but i can't find any markings on it. It is a 6,000 rpm tach. Any information on it would be helpful.

I'll second the recommendation for you to contact the Tach Man. Gary is one of the best people you can find for tach repair/restoration. Give him a call or send an e-mail. When I restored my original 65 "hi-profile" Rally Pac, he converted the tach from an 8-cyl to an I-6. Also, if you have it opened up, I'd be careful with the innards of your tach if it's an original. According to Gary, some parts for these old tach's are getting harder to find.

Good luck!

FYI: The Tachman has stopped taking Rally Pacs, and is sending the ones he has back. Too busy. We need another source.

His website tells us a lot. I will send him my clock, and maybe the tach if it really has a problem. Anyway, he gave us all a HUGE gift that I will share with everyone. This is exactly what happened to me. 2 wasted batteries and a LOT of hours chasing down the source of the problem. This should be in our "STICKY" stuff: https://www.rccinnovations.com/Instructions/Clock.pdf
