I have a 289 stock with 2-barrel carburator
and my friend gave me the flywheel off of his 66 3 speed manual transmission
would this work?
or should i consider buying something better?

THAT FLYWHEEL WILL WORK BUT YOU NEED TO HAVE IT REBALANCED FROM 50 OZ TO 28 OZ. THIS CAN BE DONE FOR ABOUT 75 BUCKS

so far ive spent:
[ul][*]rebuilt T-5 transmission (including: bellhousing, clutch fork, and hurst indy shifter) 600[*]T-5 conversion package from ebay (Crossmember, fulcrum, slip yoke, and transmission mount) 310[*]rebuilt clutch pedal assembly 150[*]Cable clutch assembly 270
[/ul]TOTAL SO FAR:$1330

i have the clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate, but im considering buying them new.

still need:
[ul][*] roller pilot bearing, - Summitt[*]new flywheel bolts - Ford dealership[*]clutch attach bolts - Ford dealership[*]Flywheel[*]clutch[*]pressure plate[*]dust shield

I'm going to usethe MustangSteve kit, it converts to cable clutch, and power brakes all in one. Seems like a decent deal too.
