1967 with 17' Rims HELP!!!
OKay, the stang is almost coming out from its winter hibornation. Im planning on putting some 17" rims on it.. and i was wondering if anyone could help me or guide me through this. I dont have a clue what im suppose to do. If i have to buy new brake disc, etc. to make them fit. I want 17\s on my stang..is there anyone that could help me?!!!

If you have drum brakes on your 67, it is recommended that your first priority is to replace those drum brakes with disks. That is another topic though, that has been discussed below. After you get your Mustang in the safe zone, then you can upgrade the wheels and tires to 17 inchers. Start with safety factors first, then looks last.

Hello, Yes Do disc brakes come with the 67? it sucks i got a sweet deal on rims and tires.. and i just told my dad i needed the tires, i could barely get him to buy me those rims and tires.. hehehe..., do you know how much this will all cost me? [:-]

Drum brakes have been around since the beginning of the 20th century and there have been many variations along the way. Most classic Mustangs (1965-’73) were equipped with drum brakes. All 1974-’93 Mustangs were fitted with front disc brakes. Mustangs after 1993 were fitted with four-wheel disc brakes. This should tell you something about braking technology. Drum brakes are old technology. Front disc brakes have been available as an option on the Mustang from day one.
