best way to find out, is ask the guy you are buying the brake parts from,..............if it was a 66 or before, yes, you would have to,.........on a 69, i dont know. are your wheels 5 lug, or 4 lug? if 4 lug,.............DEFINITELY.............if 5 lug, then you've got a chance at using them maybe.
hope that helps!

Default RE: spindles?

This question would properly be answered by a person wit a sixty nine but, for a 66 the spindle swap is a must. I found spindles on ebay for up to a 68 but I did not find any on a 69. If the I6 setup is the same as a I6 66 then change em...

I know starting in 67 the spindles were the same between I6 and V8. I also know that the 69's with the big I6 had 5 lug wheels. What I don't know is if there is a differnece between the drum and disc spindles. Not much help I'm sure.

Man, there are all kinds of different spindles for different years. I'm pretty sure if you have 4-lugs and are swapping from drums to discs, you will need different spindles. I think there is a difference between the drum and disc spindle, especially from 4 to 5 lug. If I understand your issue correctly.

He does not need spindles to put disc brake on that car. Don't spend money you don't have to. Talk to your vendor before you buy, they will let you know what is going on.
