66 ignition switch issue,, overheating?

black/green wire off the center tap of the igniton switch is warm as he88ll/ extremely warm, everything seems to work ok but the heat off the wire is crazy as in melting the insulation,,try'd chasing the wire back to the fuse box/light switch ,, and can't fine anything wrong or shorted,, any idea's ?

get a heavier guage wire?
