I would volunteer my rear end to get redone for the right price! LOL.. I still need to get out to you guys..

Are you going to the Sports Arena show/swap on Sunday? I picked up a flyer last week, classic/custom cars and vendors.. Should be pretty cool and I live right down the street..
Sure, bring me 3rd member, gears, install kit, and I'll give ya a good military discount if your serious. So did it end up working without the drop down bracket ?
Doubt it with the swap meet. Got 3 more turbo kits to finish. [:@]

Alright guys, wanna see the gear install, bug Booerschnot [8D]
CPR Streetmachines (Dustin and Rich) did a great job on my 331 stroker (Shelby Style) after I lost compression inthe tired289.

I volunteer and I will bring you my 8 inch 3rd member on 05/24/08. I also want 3.55 gears. We can discuss what type of limited slip to go with;Detroit Truetrac or Traction Loc?

After the parts are ordered, Dustin or Rich, can pick the date and time for th show and tell.

And I have an 8.8 here I'l be doing gear on, on Tues when I get them. So I can go a little into that as well.

Lemme know booger what a good price, sometimes we can find em cheap. We usually pass because of limited space.

8.8"is fine. I've replaced ring and pinion before and just re-used the original shims in the original location. I've never done it correctly...measuring backlash and adjusting as needed....I've seen friends do it, but these guys are better mechanics than teachers...usually best to just hand them a wrench and shut up..LOL

Anyway, just thought if your doing somekind of series on re gearing a rearend, I'm interested in details about backlash adjustment. I have a 9" now, but I'm sure 8.8" info would still be helpful.

Ah, ok. I love the 8in and 9in. You do have to take them completely out. But pinion depth and backlash adjustments are much easily made.
