That is EXACTLY what I thought all along. As long as you can get to the right point it really doesn't matter where the dizzy is, right? The first point I had it in after the upgrades, it ran but I couldn't quite get the timing right cause it would hit the upper rad hose/t-stat housing. So I moved it 1 tooth away and was able to set it where I needed. As I said in my other reply I will check the wires very CAREFULLY to see if that is the culprit.

On a different note: I just recently purchased a used Chevy truck. It has a couple of issues so I went to a Chevy truck forum with a question. In a month I have received 1 reply to my question. Here I have received several in the first few hours. I always knew Ford "guys" were more friendly and this proves it. Thanks again for ya'lls help.

I checked the wires and firing order. Both are fine. You mentioned initial and total timing. Care to elaborate on that matter?
