Sorry insurance question again.
Ok sorry I just understood better now, I had just gotten off from work yesterday and wasn't understanding clearly. I wasn't able to talk to them today but hopefully tomorrow I can stop by to see and understand everything better. 65ragoon is there a specific name for the policy for the unlimited miles?
To my understanding from talking to a person at Hagerty in an email and reading their site (which doesnt really tell you much policy wise) is just that Hagerty plans have ZERO mileage limits. Then in the email the lady stated that they do not have the attendence policy other companies have. you arent supposed to use it as your grocery getter, errand runner BUT if you are out on the sunday cruise and stop off for a bite to eat or stop at the store for a gallon of milk it is still covered.
State Farm insures my 65 GT at agreed value appraised at 31,800 for $164/6months. No restrictions and 500ded. It is not a primary vehicle and I do have several other policies with them. I wanted to be able to drive the car when and where I wanted without worry so the $20/6months higher rate for me over Hagerty or JC Taylor was worth it. They have also always been very fair with me on claims for over 20 years.
I've been a SF policy holder for over 30 years. In AZ, I had three classic Mustangs with full coverage on them.. similar to what you described. When I moved to NC eight years ago, SF regretfully informed that they do not offer collector car insurance in NC.
Just great...

Thanks guys, unfortuantly I called alstate to go and find out about the policy but they where closed. due to work I won't be able to go till maybe next week. I am also going to check on state farm to see what they offer.
the plate you have on the car has nothing to do with the insurance.
Actually in Illinois if you have an AV (antique vehicle) plate you are only LEGALLY allowed to drive to and from a car show and repair shop. You are not allowed to go for a sunday cruise or anything per the restrictions of the license plate itself.
The insurance is by the car & its age not the plate you have on it.

All my cars are insured through Travelers Insurance. I have 2 DD cars & the 66 on the policy. Agreed value of $17,000, no mileage or driving restrictions & a $500 deductible. The 66 added about $400-450 a year to the policy.
I checked all the local companys(State Farm, AllState, Nationwide) & nobody would do the agreed on value. They just wanted to insure it like a regular car.
