this same problem happened to me a few weeks ago on my first start after rewiring the car. i found the coil wire on the back of the ignition switch was barely making contact to the terminal. maybe that wire is loose on yours? or maybe its shorting out somewhere between the switch and the coil?

If you don't have 12v @ the coil when the switch is in the run position and you know the switch is good check the 12v feed(s) to the switch and the wire from the switch to the coil.

Thanks oxnard and care, found the problem, the wire has been hanging on my a few threads for awhile and I must of yanked it off when I was under the dash. Found the problem, was a pain to get to but got it, stripped and fused together.

Ahh what a relief.
