Yeah Kali does have some awesome climate for vintage Mustangs. Dang near rust free vintage Mustangs, but super high priced gas. Tell Ahhhnold hello from Texas the next time you bump elbows with him.
Actually, I think he is the best governor you guys have had in many years. I really liked his support for the minutemen on the border of Arizona, and his welcome to have them come to Kali. We can go off topic here, since I am the boss.

Thanks guys,
I think I'll get down to the radiator shop and get it flushed and cleaned first.....and the engine too.
I may have to wait until next pay to get it done though.....just starting to realise how much of a money pit these things can be.
I'll let you know how I get on.
Thanks again,
Aaron

Excellent choice!!!
You will reap the rewards from that decision for years to come.
You're right, it is expensive up front, but you end up with a car you can take anywhere, anytime, for a long time.
When you get it back, you've got some choices on Antifreeze. The original "green" antifreeze has silicates in it that work like sandpaper inside your engine. I've seen seam leaks where the solder was just worn away.
The new LLC (long life coolant) works very well, and has no silicates, but when it goes bad, it's ugly quick. Then there is the earth friendly stuff, that does a good job as well (basically the same stuff that goes in a porta-pottie).
The important thing is to pick your flavor and stick with it. Do not mix LLC with the standard Green stuff. The resulting rusty-brown sludge is so sticky and insulative that you will be back to square one.
The mixture is based upon your temperature conditions. Water is a better heat transfer material than coolant, so you really only want what is needed to keep from freezing/boiling over, and for lubricating the pump seal.
Good luck!

Thanks mate.
I've also taken out the crapy broken AC condenser off as well, just to try and get a bit more air through the radiator.
I've got some standard green coolant in it at the moment, so will stick with that for the moment.
I guess it's just a matter of elimination now.
