aye .... that's mean :-)
_BUT_ i just received great news. There is a chance I can get a set of 289 stock heads from a used engine (that wasn't acting up) for a favour. A buddy of mine located them. probably called everyone in his address book. i was already doing the maths for a D0OE 302 340HP edelbrock performer rpm top end engine that is for sale locally with 5000 miles on it. just for a hassle free life and lots of fun ... but I'm willing to rip off the heads and replace them just in the hope to get back on the road soon ... as I said the situation here changes constantly only the plan to pull the heads tomorrow have remained so far. It's good to have friends!
