head rebuild for the e303
whats the best valve spring size and pressure for this cam? its .498 lift intake and exhaust and 284 duration i believe. i know thats the lift. and i have a 87 roller motor. with factory heads. its from a f150. and if i get different springs what valves should i get with the springs. i plan on getting a complete valve job done but i want to make sure i do it right with this cam.
also i have a 84 C4 will it bolt right up? and what stall speed TC would i need for this cam?

stall speed will depend on the rear gears. iirc the stock springs work with the e303
i suggest at least trying to get some gt40s the e7 truck/mustang heads suck for breathing

Pretty sure that the E-cam requires a 2500 stall. You can look on Summit's website for suggest parts.

you want 2500-3000 stall.
stock springs will get murdered with that cam, look for something that can handle .550 lift or better, with around 120-130 lbs of seat pressure.
now that all that is out of the way. WHY are you dumping money into E7 heads, and WHY are you going to use a ford alphabet grind cam?

+1 my77. IMO, the FRPP alphabet cams fall into the category of bolt on crap high school kids get caught up in buying. At least talk with Comp or Lunati, or a real cam manufacturer. If you are set on using that cam, you need to talk with FRRP b/c only they know what the ramp of the lobes are to suggest what springs to use.
