i read it as: started up perfectly, then installed pertronix, then it's slow starting. but if he never adjusted ignition after it doesn't surprise me much
yea I took it differently.
seems like the unit might be bad. When I ran a pertronix in my old 66 I sent them an email and explained to them my problem. They sent me out a new piece for no charge. Maybe try that?
