how can i push my shock towers back apart

I cut mine off as well. Not like I will ever put the old 2 piece in again and it just didn't look right with the new brace in place.

Used this idea today to get a monte carlo bar installed. (the export brace was already out) I used one hydrolic jack and a piece of 4x4 to span over to both frame rails. Gave me just enough movement to get the mounting brackets down and flush to the top of the firewall on each side.

Many moons ago when my brother owned the fastback we jacked up the front of the car and used the bottle jack & 2x4 method and it worked like a champ.
