Question 1967 Mustang Strut Rod Thread Repair

I working on rebuilding my front suspension and damaged the threads on one of the strut rods (original). I'm looking for the Tap and Die to clean up and repair the threads. This seems to be an unusual size at 11/16 (pitch could be 16 or 20). I need some help confirming the thread pitch and a recommendation of where the Tap and Die could be purchased.

I appreciate all comments and assistance.

Hopefully the link points correctly:

$32 at Fastenal, looks like they come 11 pitch or 16 pitch, not near mine to count. Just measure and inch on your threads and count how many there are in an inch.
You didn't put your location in your avatar area, I was going to see how close a store was to you. I bought one from them in a smaller size to rethread mine for adjustable strut rods, it's hard steel so get a quality one like the Fastanal one, you might waste money on a cheaper one when it just chews up.

Your right, IIRC the thread is unique to Ford struts. Go to the end of the workbench with your damaged strut, and carefully place it in the trashbin. Then install a new strut, Cost about $65, or a clean used one for even less. A strut with damaged threads is not something I'd fool around with. A die won't 'fix' the threads, it just takes off more material where the strut is already damaged, leaving you with weakened threads.

I think it's 16, iirc the strut rods are fine thread. Just get them both.
