Does anyone have access to pictures showing how the back-up light switch mounts on a factory 4 speed transmission/shift assembly? I have a 1966 GT coupe and the shop manual doesn't show how to mount the switch to the car.

Thanks!

I've purchased 3 switches now and none of these fit or will work with the Hurst shifter on our toploader.. RUG-E2. I said F%$k-It and and wired a small toggle switch to the backup lights. Last fall I simply did not have any more time to screw around with it. It'll get fixed at some point but it ticks me off how they could make something so damn simple so complicated!

This ought to help. Of course, your 66 shifter should be inside a lower shift boot, but this 65 is bare:

Hurst makes a switch with bracket that can be installed on their shifters in about 5 minutes.
