Judging by the first pic it looks like one of those later aluminum ones, there are only 4 bell housing mounting holes the old cast iron ones had 8.

That spring on the right is the over-center spring. As I said, if you use a diaphragm clutch, leave it out. If you use an OE long-style clutch, you'll need it installed.

Now you tell me, I wondered why the pedal felt weird. I had a hell of a time getting that spring in, now I guess I have to take it out.

Installing or removing the assist spring is easy. Really. No kidding.
