Wait, did you have to replace your cowl? I thought just your hood and fenders were damaged?

No my hood got pushed into the cowl. It took chunks of paint off with it, so I sanded it down and having the whole thing repainted instead of patching up the chips.

Ouch! Well it's a good thing your paint isn't too old, the new paint should match great.
I really like the stance of your stang. Are you running the old I6 springs up front? Any cuts? And what've you got in the rear, spring wise?

Oh and that 5.0 emblem looks nice when you see the whole car with it!

Its got original suspension all around except for sway bar and coils. I have a large(1 1/8" I think) sway bar up front and 1" drop coils with 1 full coil cut along with shelby drop. The rear has the original leaf springs and 2" drop blocks.

Where'd you get your drop blocks? I guess it doesn't really matter...
Up front I'll probably just go with the shelby drop and I6 springs if I throw in a 351w. If I end up going with my 289 it's definitely gonna get some cutting.

Not sure if you mentioned this but how many horses are you expecting from your 302?

I doubt much more than stock. I know in 87 they were rated at 225, so maybe 250?

Ive got a weiand 8011 intake, edelbrock 1406 carb, HEI distributor, cam from a 90, and patriot mid-length headers. Have a March crank pulley, but I don't know if its smaller than the stock one would be.

I want to say I got the blocks from Cj Pony, but I usually order everything from Mustangs Unlimited because I get them the next day.
