Default Instrument Cluster Resto Advice?

I am in the process of restoring my gauge cluster and have disassembled and cleaned the entire cluster. I have also painted the inside of both the bezel and cluster bright white as to make it glow brighter, per recommendations of the forum.

My question is whether I should also paint the inside facing sides of the metal retaining rims that go over the clear lenses all white or leave them with the black and white sections as is?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Paint the white parts, but leave the black. They prevent bright spots around the edge of the instruments.

I'm getting déjà vu all over again with this conversation.

Lol....I find that redundancy increases the odds of getting my question answered...

Anyhow, they are all painted awaiting final assembly.

Thanks again!

That looks great! Better than brand new. Let's see some pics of it lit up.
