Oh yeah. The repro factory wiring is excellent, too.

sorry to hear about your troubles, having bought and sold a ton of used vehicles, motorcycles and cars, I came to realize that you win some and you lose some, hard to accept that fact in the heat of the moment, but that's why we buy and sell things as is, and why they are cheaper than new vehicles that come with a warranty, any information exchanged verbally is just that, just words, what was his for sale ad like? but even those are a joke, ran when parked is my favorite, why did you park it then, oh the car was running just fine so I left it on the street and bought a new one, yeah right

i usually make a list of good and bad things when I sell stuff, something like

new oil change, new battery, new brakes

needs tires, won't pass smog, etc

that way the buyer knows what he is getting into, I know that sometimes I buy a vehicle when I am told what is wrong with it, because I accept that and it explains the lower price
