I bought a badass antenna from pep boys for my 66. i will post a pic tomorrow.. it is a amplified antenna that gets a 12v power wire connected to assist the strenght.. it is really snmall though.. only about 2 inches tall and fites the hole perfect.

Please do post pics I had this shorty black one before and it got zero reception. Think it was from best buy or some crap

Thanks I will check 4 that before welding. The dodge ram has one that impressed me, we were pulling stations that would normaly be lost after 40 miles, 100 miles away.
