Default LCA ball joint

Do I really have to buy new control arms to replce this? Can the existing ones press out? It would be nice to put in one of afcos low friction joints in. Ive already done some work to my lower arms to get them ready for the coilover suspension Im building. Would hate to start over.

Hmmm… I'm not aware of any source for only the lower joint. The lower arm is subject to torsional stress, and if the ball is shot, the arm is considered done, too.

Opentracker sells a conversion to convert it to a screw in ball joint and roller pivot. Be warned though, one plate in there is TOOOOOUGHHHHH. It is hard even with carbide bits. It's your best option really. If you replace the arm, it will be junk again soon anyways.

Maybe plasma. Hopefully annealed enough to grind it where you need it. Machine shop may get it close. But for fine tuning, sure grinding will still need to be done. Stuff is damn hard. I called him back after I finished and asked wtf ?!!?? He chuckled a bit.
