Alot of the shortie headers tend to exit right into the spot where the clutch linkage attaches to the block...No problem for an automatic but something to watch out for if your running a manual trans and using the stock linkage.

is 280$ a fair price for a complete exhaust system with turbo mufflers and an h pipe

It depends..What size pipe,what brand of mufflers and of course the fit quality..For another $100 you could probably have a custom exhaust installed..
