Default Original Wheels

Hey Portland/Vancouver guys. Had a question about getting some wheels re-chromed. They are original cragers and are pitted and need some work. Does anyone know a good place to get them redone? Or should I even bother with them?

From your title I thought you had original Mustang wheels. Don't even bother. Just by new ones. Rechroming is ussaully expensive as well and it might be cheaper in the long run to buy new ones.

I was afraid that may be the response. I do have some original wheels that came with my 70 coupe as pictured but I don't want to keep them on the car, I do plan on keeping them however. I found some 16" wheels off of a '05 but not sure what the fitment would be like as they are the newer radial tires and I am not sure what to get for a wheel adapter. Any suggestions?

I agree, rechroming the S/S wheels will cost far more than new ones.

Current model Mustang wheels have far too much backspace and require spacers, and studs. Frankly, spacers, especially spacers that thick, make me nervous.

I would think you'll need like a 1.25" or 1.5" spacer for those wheels to work on your car, but IMO I wouldn't go with spacers at all. Just not a fan of spacers especially on these old classics. I would play it safe and buy the right wheels that you want for the car.
If that's the look you want for the car you may want to consider a set of Vintage Wheel works wheels.
I would go with 16 x 7 in front and 16 x 8 in the rear.

@jspagna I had similar wheels on my 68 coupe I had, but never was a fan. I like the look of these http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/pts/2554365111.html.

@ 2+2 As always your advice is appreciated. Would going to discs make a difference in regards to the spacers?
