1968 c4 302 2v swap to ? 5.0L EFI AOD
I been thinking about swapping out my c4 for a AOD and/or the 302 2v for an EFI. I don't know what donor cars would be applicable or if it's easy enough for a novice like myself. I just know that my current setup gets me about 12-14mpg and with the climbing gas prices I thought this may give me a little more performance. This car also has factory A/C which may complicate matters or do you just swap everything out?
Looking for thoughts from those who've walked this path before.
Thanks

Use a 88 to 93 mustang. Its really easy to do. Usually is best to buy a running and driving totaled car or if you can find one cheap enought and just transfer everything over. Other wise you can peice it together for cheaper and using ur existing engine ect.
This sight will give you some help

click on the begining efi swap link and it tells you some of the stuff you will need to do the swap. Ive done it twice now its not that bad of a job once you figure things out.
Make sure you dont get a speed density car you can use it but is not as good.

You will need a aod crossmember but every mustang part house sells one.Any good garage can make you the ac lines to use the factory ac box to the new engines compressor.Look around on http://midnightdsigns.com/james/ he used a t5 but you get the idea of how to do it good luck.
