What you need is Glass Tape.

I thought the image of the roofrail seal above was pretty clear that's what he needs.

The rubber strip in my top image above attaches the glass to the post. No tape is needed.

Yeah, Yeah. Perfect. I am needing the roof rail seal piece so that I can get the area around the quarter panel...might as well install the whole piece even though the door window part is newer. Odd that someone just installed a new seal around the door window previously...stupid previous owner! That is why I though the two were different pieces. Thanks for the help!
