Default Water pump

I was installing my water pump today and was wondering if they had vents, in one of my manuals it says they do but not which hole it is. This is on a 67 289. also did all of them have aluminum timing covers?

Water pumps typically have a vent hole on the bottom of the center boss between the seal and the bearing, so that if the seal begins to leak it doesn't destroy the bearing.

Cool, wasn't sure if it was one of the other holes and I didn't want to plug it.
