Yeah, except for fine feathering, Bondo is not much more that a water attracter unless you seal it. Another method is to use fiberglas. Put the cloth soaked in resin on the backside, and add a little resin in the hole to fill it. When it is dry, sand her smooth. Just anouther thought.

ive had to do this to the hole for the molding in my 67' coupe. i just used a mig welder and ground it down after, like previously mentioned. if you dont hold the trigger down and just use short bursts it does not bend or burn up the sheet metal.

Bondo is ideal for small holes, but like soaring said its not good for moisture. Fiberglass resin would be a better choice. For several larger holes (can't really think of any emblem sized holes that are necessarily "big") you would want to weld them. You would actually want to weld all your holes shut, but since not everyone has acess to a MIG welder, the best way would be fiberglass.
