Default looking for a 4 speed...

i need a 4 speed manual tranny for my 66 mustang... car currently has a 3 speed.... can anyone help?

no im not a mechanic so im clueless also.. the car has a 3 speed in it now and it would be good enough for what i want but if i can find a 4 speed it would just be that much better.. i also have a 289 motor out of that 66 mustang for sell if you know anyone that is looking for one i have one. i thought about going with the 5 speed to but i havent asked many questions about how easy it would be. ok get back to me or give me a price. thanks, sheldon

4sale, good luck finding a 4 speed. They are out there, but cost some bucks for a good one. If you have a 289, the 5 speed conversion can be done easily with the correct parts(linkage,bellhousing,clutch pedal,cables,etc...)</P>


First Mustang, you will also need the correct parts for the conversion, but it can be done.</P>

guys call or go to mustang plus. www.mustangsplus.com they do this all the time very helpful and they sell a ton of parts. <edited><editID>67aquafastback</editID><editDate>37978.4771527778</editDate></edited>
