Default Name this drivetrain noise

Long story, short my electronic HEI distributor shaft ended up stripping out due to faulty metal material it was made with so I lost oil pressure and spun a rod bearing. Since then I have completely rebuilt the engine with a new crank, bearings, cam, lifters, and added Edelbrock E street heads. I also used Plastigauge to check all bearing clearances. I broke in the cam and had the engine running great. No noise at idle. I ran it off and on for a few days and it sounded great. Then one day I went to put the car in gear and it wouldn't move. I ended up dropping the Toploader manual tranny and found I had a bad pressure plate. Two springs had collapsed so it wouldn't allow the car to clutch. Since I had it out I put in a brand new clutch and throw out bearing. I then started the car and had the noise you can hear in the video I shot below. When I rev the car you can't hear it. It sounds like it is coming from around the tranny area. I have excellent oil pressure. My dust shield rubbed the flywheel last year and I ended up taking a prybar to bend it away slightly as it made a pretty loud rubbing/tapping noise but nothing this excessive. That is the only thing I can isolate as the problem though as the noise was never there before dropping and reinstalling the tranny. Thoughts????

how is it running with what appears to be, no oil pressure...? (valve covers off...)

I temporarily put on valve covers with the tops cut out to adjust the valves. These cut out valve covers keep the oil from spilling down the sides of the heads. A lot of guys will do this. I also wanted to verify I didn't have a flat cam lobe. The good chrome covers will be going back on tonight.

Ohhhh , okay, interesting...learned something new today.

Compression is all good (leak down test)? Are you using an Oil guage, what's the pressure read and does it go up and down with the engine RPM?

Headers on there nice and tight (evenly tightened)?

Sounds a lot like a broken flywheel to me.... that might explain why it goes away with engine speed...

Another thing....

When you changed the clutch, did you put a jack under the oil pan? Some engines have very little clearance between the pan and the crankshaft, just "a little" bend can cause the crank to "kiss" the pan.

B]Compression was good when I checked it right before installing the Edelbrock heads. I do have digital guages in the car and my oil pressure is reading right around 45-50 at start up (cold) and drops around 30-40 when warmed up depending on what the engine is reving. And yes, it does go up and down if I rev the engine.[/B]

I have checked the header bolts. They appear tight. I do know the drivers side header has a slight leak at one of the welds near the collector but it has always been this way and I haven't had this noise before.

The flywheel was always fine before as I didn't have the noise before I had dropped and reinstalled the tranny a few weeks ago to fix the clutch. I also inspected it before installing the new clutch and it appeared fine. Where do they usually break??

Yes, I did lift the engine slightly with a phone book between the jack and pan but I did this on the front of the pan near the harmonic balancer, not by the tranny.
