Okay my electrical problem.
With power to my bulbs and the bulbs not working could the shifter light have something to do with the bulbs not working I belive the same wire that connects the instrument panel bulbs also connects to the shifter light and then is grounded to the floor pan however when i removed the shifter plate nothing is hooked up Any Help?
Tyler..does the interior light come on when you turn the headlight switch all the way to the left? If not, the contacts on the switch are probably dirty or not making contact with the round spring like contact on the switch. I had to clean and bend the contact on my headlight switch "just enough" to touch the circular contact spring on the switch. Hope this make sense...good luck...
hope the photo helps...

Cogtx, I did get that problem fixed. I just bought a new one, But of course now none of my lights are grounded so they dont light up. Do I need to buy new light bulb housings with grounds on them? I now have power to all of the wires just need the grounding!
Tyler...there should be no ground wire coming off of the instrument cluster lamps. The bulbs are grounded by the #57 solid black wire (that's the number from my '67 shop manual) found on the connector you plugged the instrument cluster in. Trace that black wire until you see that it is connected to a metal part of the vehicle. If that black wire is broken or has a bad contact, it won't supply the ground needed for the bulbs. Someone correct me if I'm on the wrong path here.

rednecks these days. They cant do anything right!
