Congratulations. You'll have a blast with it and adding the AC will definitely improve its usability here in Florida. Enjoy.

Thank you guys! Do you have any recommendations for a good ac kit? And roughly how much I should be paying for installation. I haven't found a good a garage in Miami yet to work on this car.

I installed the classic auto air setup in mine and it worked fine most of the time. Hot days would tax the system. You'll find out real fast how well insulated that car is once the AC up and running. I had 35 blowing out of the vents but was still hot. That led to me ripping out the interior and laying down Dynamat everywhere I possibly could and that was the ticket.

Unlike yours, mine was a factory AC car so that helped considerably and reduced the cost by quite a bit I'm sure. I wound up going through the original setup completely and got all of the factory vacuum controls working properly. I guess I had around $1500 in it by the time the smoke cleared.

Haha thanks! Unfortunately the troubles have already begun... Car wouldn't start to pull off of the truck, had to jump start it and the battery won't hold a charge despite being a new battery.

Let the fun begin!

check the sites below. you may also need a better cooling system. the aftermarket units have a box that occupies part of the front passenger floor which isn't great if you need the space. a stock system would cost around $4,000.00 or more installed. it is an extremely unpleasant job

I installed vintage air on my 67 when I had it but I can't comment on how well it worked because I only used it 2-3 times during the 2 years it was on there.
