Default Door Locking Mechanism Stuck

I have a 1968 Convertible, and the door hasn’t been able to be opened for a while. I did what I could to get access without having the door open.

From what I can tell everything on the inside (that’s visible) is there and connected. It seems like the lock mechanism will lock and unlock but it won’t fully unlock. I.E the indoor unlock peg will go up, but not all the way up.

We’ve tried WD40ing the setup, but not difference. We’ve also tried the unlock, lock 50 times but that didn’t do anything either.

Sounds like the release in the door that latches around the door jamb post isn't fully releasing from around the post. If you could get a squirt of weasel **** up around that mechanism it might help.
