Default 1970 Ignition Wiring

1970 coupe previous owner spliced and diced ignition wires to run electric fuel pump with toggle switch under steering wheel. Pulled all added wires from toggle switch to battery, coil and distributor. Ignition wiring harness has oil and temp sensor wire and 3rd wire is only pink resistor wire. Coil says batt and dist, but single black wire from distributor was plugged into batt plug on coil, seperate wire from battery was plugged into dist terminal on coil. When i plug distributor wire to dist terminal on coil and pink resister wire to batt on coil, turn the key and I get nothing. Switched to wires and still get nothing. Any suggestions or does anyone of photo of stock wire setup from coil to dist and coil to ignition pogtail.
