Have a customer's 71 mustang in the shop for some dash work. The column seems to sit really low at the dash. Factory seats and a non tilt column make getting in and out a chore. Is it possible that the column mount is from a different year causing it to sit low? There is no extra spacers installed. Also, is there a boot that goes around the column where it passes through the dash? Thanks.
