Yup, must be talking about the threads on the shaft from the steering box. Hope you can clean up the threads with a die. If not, you would be looking at changing out the entire steering box as the shaft is an integral part of it. Good luck to you.

bought a new nut for shaft today and put it on half way went on easy...and ordered a die...i think it will work when die is used...
