Get a very rough file and remove the underirable parts of the bumper carefully. When you have it gone, fill, sand, fill, sand, prime, etc...

I'm really liking that orange. I wish I did that instead of blue.

Make sure you use a guide coat while you are blocking your primer out, just put some cheap black base coat in the gun and fog/dust it on. You're not looking for coverage, just contrast from the grey primer. This is used to see any dents you might have missed. Afer that stage is complete. Blow it all off, get some dry guide coat, rub that stuff on so it will show the 120 scratches while you water sand. Start water sanding with 400 then go over it again with 600. Wash, dry and blow out any water left in the jambs, cracks, moldings etc. Be sure to dry every inch of that car, or the water WILL come back out while you are painting. Next use the correct sealer for the color you choose, the paint store will help you with that. Sealer is used to cover small scratches that you might have missed and to provide a uniform base. It will also keep you using less basecoat to get good coverage.

I would suggest a good coat of primer sealer before you basecoat. give at least 30 min tack for the sealer. And I think the orange is good, darker colors show imperfections more and are harder to keep clean.
