How can you tell if a ford rim is authentic??

 

I can say that most replica rims are heavier than the originals...

 

all authentic ford wheels will have ford, saleen, etc. stamped on them somewhere. saleen usually on the outside around the lip. cobra R and such are usually inside the wheel like behind the spokes. if you dont see the ford oval there fakes, or atleast the word ford.

 

the saleens are very easy to tell if they are real, saleen stamped on rim, but the bullitts are very hard to tell. i dont know about the fr500's

 

The fr500s, there is "ford racing" imprinted with black around it on the lip. They also come with the ford racing emblem cast in the middle. (centercap). The price is another way, for FR500s, which also ONLY COME IN 18S if they are real, are about 280/wheel.
