Auto's better right?
i have a 1992 gt convertible w aod, installed new tranny wont shift into overdrive, wants to but feels like slipping any help would be appreciated email to derk8088@yahoo.com thank you
Why not flash tune your manual?? Price wise Manual is cheaper then an automatic anyway.. then get a tune for the Manual... my stang is my first manual and i'd never go auto again - so much more control of the car with a manual...

autos are for wooosies!!lol...but seriously, there are people who can shift so fast it would be hard to meet them in an auto. i aint to bad at shifting myself but theres dudes out there that will just blow me away!
for consistant times it's easier w/ an auto, as far as launching the car, if you have a good set-up (suspension,gears,tires-----) a 4 speed car can launch just as hard or harder than an auto. auto is limited to converter stall speed. just my .02
Auto trannies also give lousier gas mileage than same car with standard tranny does..
=> Check out this site <=
Compare any car with the same engine but auto/standard tranny & the standard tranny car gives better fuel economy.. Why? Because auto trannies rob more power in their operation.
Also means there is less horsepower available to the rear wheels..
IMO I think a lot of people are just too lazy to either learn to drive a stick, or just don't wanna be shifting all the time.. so they find ways of defending their auto preferenace lol
