brake pads. cheapy? ceramic? differences?
sorry. im a newbie in the mechanical world. im getting to the point where i need to change pads on my car. what is the diff between ceramic ($40/set) vs cheapy ($16/set)? i have no twin turbos or anything and i do a mix of highway/city driving back and forth to the installation where i work. is there a big diff? if not, ill prolly get the cheapy ones because, well, i need the money for other things such as udp and gears.
thanks

thanks
Raybestous makes brakes called "QS" for Quiet stop which are ceramic and produce virtually no dust. NEVER screw with or get cheap ith brakes... if you wanan go fast and be wreckless you need to make damn sure you can stop!

NEVER go with RayWorstos...I've sold all diferent kind, I've installed just about every brand...RayWorstos are the HARSHEST pads you can buy. They will prematurely wear out your rotors! Hawke's are pretty damn good. Ceramics are pretty damn good also.
Ive used those 16 dollar brake pads before when i had nearly no money. It was either good brake pads, or gas.
Those were horrible, my wheels were already hard to clean, and those pads made it so much worse. I almost gave up on keeping those things clean.

i like wagner thermo quiets they usualy run about 40 bucks a set but they are life time warrentied agiast noise and wear (you wear them out go back and get another set free) and a plus is they have reduced breakdust and wear. i had a set on my avenger, those cars are known for wearing front breaks i did my first front break job at 18k miles with a worn out set of front breaks i sold the car with 72k mile and still had a lot of pad left.
