Default Water pump O-ring change?

I've just recently installed a new water pump on my 99 v6, but I seem to have a slight leak/bubbling around what looks to be an outlet pipe (to the heater core?) which is locted on the upper part of the pump. It looks like it doesnt seem to be sealed well - is this possibly just the o-ring that needs to be changed or is there something else that needs to be checked?

The water pump that I bought didn't come with an o-ring, so I bought the correct one. Does anyone know if this pipe can be lifted out of the water pump without having to remove the belts/power steering pully-brackets etc? It seems like it would lift right out, but I'm not sure.

I'll take pictures later if you guys need them
