RE: What was your first car???
What was it? 1990 Ford Escort
How did you get it? Paid for it myself
Cost? $2700
Color? blue
How old were you? 17
Have pics? Nope. Still in the family though. Runs great in snow and has real low miles for being such an old car. Was a grocery getter for a grandma. Good little first car to have.

RE: What was your first car???
67 Camaro
$450
Paid for myself
Candy Apple Red
It barely ran and used 1 qt of oil in 30 miles.
I got it when I was 15 and spent the next year getting it ready for dating.
First date with my wife of 27 years was in that car.

RE: What was your first car???
1955 CHevy,3speed on column,inline 6 cyl. ugly--white/yellow with green interior,bench seats.
Given to me when 15 ,couldn't get license until 16, so learned how to drive on dirt roads in rural area until then>Learned about car control, skids, power slides etc. that kids now are clueless on because drivers ed. doesn't teach it and there is very little rural areas with dirt roads plus putting a car in the ditch now can "total" some.

1980 Toyota Celica GT coupe, silver with a black interior, AC and 5spd.
Found it at a local gas station for sale out front for $2000.00, I paid $1000.00 and my dad loaned me the difference which I paid back.
I was 17 at the time.
I have lots of pics of the car, I owned it from 1988 to 1997. I miss that car. I had put a full suspension techniques kit on it with springs, sway bars, and tokico shocks and struts all around. To this day that is the best handling car I have ever driven or ridden in hands down, it was amazing, the engine was treated to a Crane cam, header, and free flow pacesetter exhaust, and a webber downdraft carb. The only problem was that it just needed about 100 more horsepower. No one really made any kind of go fast parts for that car so I was limited in what I could do. I had a S-10 pickup I bought in '97 for work and then got my '88 GT T-top which I still have to this day as a weekend toy! One of these days I'll get around to posting pics of the mustang. I miss my celica though, it was a lot of fun, and I have a ton of memories from that car!!
