I have my grandpas first car (1963 Falcon vert) that I bring to car shows all the time, and I constantly get older people (50+) coming up to me and thanking me over and over bringing it down because a Falcon was their first car and mine brings back sooo many memories for them (I have herd dozens of them!). They look so freakin happy that it makes me happy too. I am going to try sooo hard to keep this Explorer because I dont really want to lose my first car. I am already super attached to it, and I only had it 1 year before I bought my two stangs and had the Falcon handed down to me.[8D]

1966 ford f-100. i worked at a pizza place for 2 years and saved up. it cost $1,000 and was painted with red house paint!, but it started right up and drove ok. the guy said it had a 351 clevland, but when i got it home i looked at the right left side head and it said "352" i didnt even know they made a 352. turns out it was a big block 352 and soon after driving it for a while everything started breaking. i re-wire the entire truck with a "painless" (haha) kit, rebuilt the motor, all new accessories, did bodywork and primered it, new chrome wheels and tires. it had a granny low 4-speed in it. i miss that truck!

My first car: 1967 Dark Moss Green 289 Fastback owned for 30 years... just sold it for $14,000 (you guys are a bunch of youngsters).
Bought it myself with my hard earned cash when I was 17.

When I was a kid, my next door neighbor bought a '65 red coupe 289 and his friend had a '66 purple fastback, that's how I got the bug.

A couple of years later my best friend and I were making crank phone calls (in high school) asking dumb questions like does the horn work and does the car have brakes?! We saw this classified ad for a green '67 Mustang for sale at $1100. We made an appointment to see the car. The owner worked for Ford and he was the second title holder. The car was solid and beautiful. I made an offer for $925 and he accepted! I made a lot of great memories in that car. After thirty years of time together we parted ways a couple of months ago. It's kinda sad but I had my time with her . She was getting old and tired but still ran like a champ. One head gasket in thirty years of driving, can you imagine!? I always wanted to restore her to better-than-new but you've all heard the excuses... not enough time or money and no where to store her.

A few months ago, some guy knocks on my door and asks to purchase my baby (I constantly got notes on my car and bangs on the door). I had been considering to let her go but had no idea of the value. So we talked for a few days and I gave him my purchase amount and we agreed on the $14,000.

I figure that I can now enjoy a new car with all the technology and amenities and make it my own with some slight mods. I have a Black 2007 California Special on order! Might put a Shelby front end on it. Can't wait! Should be here in four or five weeks.
