99 gt guage cluster in a 99 ranger.. ?
hi ... new to the forums here .. i have a 99 ranger 2.5 / 5 spd and i kinda hate the guage cluster in it.. it bothers me when automatics dont have a tach.. and it really bothers me when manuals dont have them... and i like the smaller guagesof the gt cluster a bit better...
i have a gauge cluster from , i believe, a 99 mustang GT. i cant rememebr the exact year it came from... i know it was in a wrecked gt though .. and after looking on ebay i am almost positive that it is for a 99 - 04 .. digital odom is in the tach area; and it just says fuel door --> in speedo area ... 150 mph speedo .... 8000 RPM tach, with about 5.75k redline
so a couple questions are am i gonna be lucky enough that this will work in my ranger? i didnt really want to take apart my poor rangers dash unless there was a chance that it could work..
and is there a way to show me how many miles are on the cluster without it being plugged in? like just run a wire to the battery and touch a certain spot on the connector? or any other way? i have no idea how many miles the cluster says haha thank you very much!
