Default 03 Power Window issues

I'm new here and have been troubleshooting my fiance's 2k3 V6 Mustang. Both windows have been dislodged from the rear carrier. It seems that they are simply epoxied/glued into their carriers, causing the window to raise to high. When the window reaches the max height, there is a foot on the door which contacts the rear window carrier, this should cause the window to stop raising. In my case, the carrier stops, but the window keeps going because it hasd freed itself from the epoxy and therefore the carrier. Is this a commom problem, I am fairly handy car guy, worked on BMW's all my life, but never run into a problem like this. I would guess I could just re glue it to the carrier, but thought you guys might have faced this before and found a more stout fix. Thanks for the help in adavnced.

BTW, tried the search function but wasn't able to find anything helpful.

I'm not familair with the problem but sounds like you have a handle on it.

If you are having to take the door apart to glue the carrier U might want to make sure you use a two part epoxy putty. This stuff is very tenacious

Good luck

Use a good 2-part epoxy, it's not uncommon, I've had it happen before. If she's one to close her door by pushing on the window, instead of the actual door, then she has probably bent the track out of alignment and it will need to be replaced as well. I get on my gf for doing it when she gets out of the car, it's not uncommon, but since we don't have a window frame, there is no support other than the track and those tabs.

I don't know how she closes the door but I find it odd that the passenger side has it as well since no one really rides over there. I will start to pay more attention.

Dreaming, but it would be nice if they were like on my M3 where the window drops about a 1/4" when you open to door to account for pressure as well as create a better seal once the door is closed.
