My friend here at the academy has a '66 fastback with the 389 and four speed and the thing won't start. It turned over a couple times then the starter just started clicking...i would say it was a battery but he took it out and drove it this past weekend, any one have any ideas? Could it still be the battery?

P.S I know its the wrong forum, but more poeple look on this forum...sooo yeah

 

yeah bad battery sounds like maybe check the seliniod *sorry for spelling*

 

also check all the battery connections and the solenoid connections to make sure they are free of corrosion and tight too. and make sure the ground is tight too.
