Default 1979 Mustang power steering problem

I just bought a 4 cyl 1979 Mustang. The pressure power steering howse that conencts the power steering to the geart box is givng me a tough time. I cannot get the host into the gear box. I called Ford and they told me there is a fitting that the hose connects to and then this fitting is what actually goes into the gear box. They said without the fitting that the hose will not connect. Everytime I try I get it to start and then it seems as if it is too long and pos out. So what Ford told me makes sense. My problem is that Ford does not sell this part for an older car and no one I contact seems to have this part. Is there such a part and if so any ideas where I could get/make one up? Thanks in advance for any help. Jeff Smith jsmith1222@aol.com
