Actually a shorter handle wouldnt really help at all. The reason a short throw is a short throw is because of the high ratio pivot the switches the tranny. Its much better than stock.

Then you run the risk of breaking the weld while powershifting so it isnt the greatest of ideas.

I dunno my buddy put a short shifter in his 01 civic, and shortened linkages, then we cut a goo inch off the handle and it was a lot better, it felt shorter and more solid! your arm doesn't even need to move now, just the wrist

But thats just it... he played with the pivot point, so of course it wil be shorter.
