I just got a new crank case evac kit to weld in my new headers in the instrutions it says to weld them on the top of the collector at a 45deg angle

The one old headers they are on the outer side to the header on the collectorin a 45deg angle

I do they have to be welded on the top for the header or can i weld them like they were on my old headers??? I just dont wanna weld them on the sides like my old header and them be worng and **** up a new set of 600.00 headers
